Alex & Stephen made their way from Denmark to NZ to get married on Piha beach, surrounded by close family.

Couple shared their story: “We met through work and mutual friends both of us made there - we both worked within the same area of the bank at the time. I still lived in Poland and Stephen visited occasionally. We immediately clicked and ever since started talking more and more. This somehow evolved into chatting outside of work, regular video calls and eventually visiting each other in Poland and Denmark. Somewhere along the way we made the decision to give it a shot and I moved to Denmark. That was about 5 years ago and it was the best decision ever.”

Proposal: He took me away for a surprise trip to Prague for my 30th birthday. Well, almost surprise as he couldn't wait and told me where we were going two weeks prior to the date. Regardless, we had loads of fun walking around the town, visited one of the local breweries, had some great food and then ended back at our hotel for one last drink. Stephen waited until midnight, went up to the room to get the ring, came back down and proposed a couple of minutes past midnight right there and then at the hotel bar. :') Very much on brand.” What a beautiful story!
