Im so excited to wake up to this news and truly honoured to be included in Top 100 Wedding Photographers in Australia and New Zealand 2020 by reputable SLR Lounge. It’s amazing to receive such a spark of positivity at this tough time.

As there plenty of time to slow down, reflect and look back at self-isolation, I decided to put together some favourite best moments of the past season in Auckland with wedding, engagement and family photography. As a photographer Im so blessed to capture beautiful, emotional and real moments of my couples that put their trust in my hands, connecting to my style, vision and personality as well.

Beach engagement | pre-wedding session: Megan and Carlo {Auckland photographer}

Im so excited to share with you a recent photo shoot on the beach - engagement | pre-wedding session with Megan and Carlo on Muriwai {West Auckland}. These two beautiful people come over from Australia to celebrate their special day with their close friends and family and had an engagement shoot just two days before their wedding!

We had a great time walking and talking on the beach, discuss couple’s wedding plans and have some beautiful, emotional and real moments captured.

Announcement - L & L {Auckland wedding-family photographer}

Hello beautiful people!
As you may know New Zealand government announced Alert level 4 {Covid-19} which means we move to self-isolation and no gathering are allowed {indoors or outdoors}.
What it means for my photography clients? All scheduled sessions will be postponed {you have right to choose a new suitable date based on availability}.
I will be working with my wedding clients to find the best possible date that suits our calendars {you will receive a credit towards the new date, scheduling preferably one year from the original wedding date, but can be stretched further based on your needs and government advice on Covid-19 situation}. New contract may be required to secure your new date {all money already paid will be applied to the new date}.
I already announced a week ago my live workshops in Auckland and Sydney are postponed till next year.
Luckily, my online workshop Love, Light & Laughter still go ahead - begin 23 March at Click Photo School www.clickphotoschool.com/love-light-laughter
Only one day to go! Last Call, get in quickly! :)
My heart feels for everyone who have a big loss in this situation {all my friends, couples, small and big businesses etc}, but we need to come together and support each other!

Stay Safe - News from L & L {Auckland wedding-engagement photographer}

Hello beautiful people!

It's a tough times with big events get postponed, travel plans canceled and so much going on around the world!

Few of my booked sessions got canceled as clients travel from overseas and weddings get canceled as couple or family need to travel. {if you are curious about my policy I do offer a full refund for sessions for overseas couples and rebook the date during next 1+ year for weddings}. I totally understand my couple’s situation as I got hit hard with the same factors.

So gutted Phlock conference where I had a few classes lined up got postponed till next year, I planned to fly to Manchester this week! Oh well!

We are staying strong as a community and trying to keep each other safe. Self-isolation and avoiding big gathering can be the best option.

NEWS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS!

I'm sorry to say I have to postpone my live workshops in New Zealand and Australia {April, June} till potentially end of the year or beginning of next year {depending how situation with COVID-19 will develop - BETTER STAY SAFE THEN SORRY}, but I'm staying positive and looking forward to my online workshop at Click Photo School "Love, Light & Laughter" just in ONE week time {can be a gret time for ONLINE education, hey ?! ;)}

I’m also taking all measures as a photographer to keep myself and my couples/families safe {wash hands, avoid physical contact on the sessions, stay away from big gathering without necessarily at my free time, with planning to stay away from the sessions/weddings if I get sick - i have a great back up lined up and anything else I can do at this tough time}.

As a small businesses, photographers all over New Zealand and around the world having a big financial loss and not only photographers, let’s support each other as much as we can!

Navya & Manish come all the way from Boston, USA for their pre-wedding photo shoot in New Zealand.

Couple shared their love story: “ We met 6 years back while I was doing my masters in Washington DC and Manish came to stay with his friend who was in the same school, we started hanging out and dating the same year. Manish went back to India and visited USA again for his MBA. We used to have a long distance relationship and meet over the weekends etc, and then got married 2 years back. He proposed on top of an roof top bar in New York. I was there meeting my friends and Manish was catching up with his school friends. We both are super shy, so this was a big surprise for me. “

Enjoy highlights of Muriwai Beach Engagement | Pre-wedding session with Harriet and James, just before their wedding {that was a honour to capture for us, Auckland wedding photographers}.

This session day was incredibly different as all sky been covered with orange glow from Australian fires. It was also extremely dark, but we decided to keep the session and go with the flow, capture some beautiful, emotional and real moments.

I feel it helps us a lot to get to know each other and feel more relaxed and comfortable on the wedding day, saving some time at the intimate session. I totally recommend everyone to have this pre-wedding session with your chosen photographer and move some nerves out of the system as well. :)

Pre-wedding engagement session on Muriwai Beach {Auckland wedding photographer}

Carlos & Caroline come to their pre-wedding | engagement session on Muriwai Beach from overseas {New York}. Its such a pleasure for me as a wedding photographer to capture all the emotions, romantic and real moments for this beautiful couple.

Their story: “Carlos and I met in New York City five years ago working together at the same architecture firm. Before coming to the states, Carlos grew up in Auckland and a lot of his family still lives there. We were always good friends and after a year or so began dating, (secret office romance). Then I moved away for school and we've spent the last four years doing long distance. This has made all the time we have gotten to spend around one another all the more special. I'm finally graduating this May and moving back to NYC to be with him for good. We have decided to get married in the states but want to make New Zealand part of our wedding experience”.

Proposal story: “This past August, Carlos and I were spending the weekend at my family's summer house by the ocean. Carlos suggested we go for a little walk on the beach and completely surprised me by suddenly kneeling in front of me in the sand. I hadn't thought he was going to ask me for another year or so based on conversations that we had had. Turns out, he had been elaborately planning the proposal for months coordinating everything. After I said yes we started to walk back up the beach and suddenly my family came running down from the dunes where they had been hiding with a bottle of champagne and glasses for all of us. It was perfect” SO romantic story!

Top Nine - Best of 2019 {Auckland wedding - engagement - maternity - newborn-family photography}

This year was just amazing and Im so excited to share with you Best of 2019 - beautiful, emotional and real moments from wedding - engagement - maternity - newborn and family photography.

It was amazing and crazy busy year: with shooting 24 weddings and 17 photo shoots, including one styled shoot, traveling to Bali, Germany, Austria {Europe}, Melbourne, Australia and South Island of New Zealand {Christchurch, Auckland, Gore}; running 3 live photography workshops {two in Auckland and one in Melbourne}, and 4-weeks online workshop Love, Light & Laughter at Click Photo School. Such a beautiful time! I just loved to share my knowledge, my love and my soul!

I progressed in my ice skating, participating in Adult World Championship in Oberstdorf, and won some gold and silver medals on New Zealand Nationals, as well as participated with my synchro team in Australian Nationals, where we got very close to 3rd place with just 0.1 points of difference in scores!

Lot of hard work for the next year and exciting plans ahead! Practice and progress in everything I do!

I can not wait to see what next year brings!

My focus for the next year is harmony, balance, capture only limited number of weddings and sessions, concentrating on personal and educational projects/photography workshops, family and myself, keep doing ice skating and participating in international competitions. I hope to improve my level in everything I do. Having a good sport hobby allowing not only keep healthy body and mind, but also come back refresh to my photography and business. So important to find time for yourself!

This experience at Love, Light & Laughter in Melbourne - Australia was just unforgettable. Its not been traveling from Auckland, New Zealand, meeting all the amazing photographers and share all the knowledge, information, skills, but also sharing my heart and my soul.

They took something from me and I learnt from them as well. So much memories in these two days full of learning, inspiration and new friendships.

I’m so excited to share with you a sneak peek from one session with four dresses!!! Doris & Jacob come to pre-wedding session in New Zealand from Hong Kong, couple contacted me as an Auckland engagement photographer to take some beautiful and emotional natural photos at the beach.

We could not limit the session just to one beach so decided to travel around stunning New Zealand West Coast - begin from Riverhead forest, then Muriwai Beach and travel to Karekare Falls and Piha Beach. All this travelling totally worth it!

Couple shared their story: “ We have been together eight years - we got together in first year at university and have been together ever since. We met at our first year hall and bonded over a mutual love of tv shows and procrastinating from study”. Proposal: “Codie was so concerned with making it a surprise and I was so suspicious (we had already bought the ring so I knew it was coming) that he surprised me at home and THEN took me out to a lovely regional park where we had bubbles and strawberries. It was lovely! He was so nervous and it was so sweet haha “ So romantic story!

Forest Engagement Session {Auckland pre-wedding photographer}

Enjoy highlights of Riverhead Forest engagement session with Tracy & Chris, such a pleasure for me as an Auckland re-wedding photographer to capture these special for couple moments.

We meet with Tracey & Chris at the afternoon and had such amazing time, walking and talking and capturing some beautiful, emotional and real moments.

Couple shared their story: “Weve been together 7 years...following 2.5 years long distance, we moved to London together and have been home 3 years back in nz. Have ticked the boxes of our first home, two fur babies and got engaged. We love travel and adventure both in our own country and abroad!” Proposal happened: “At Waiwera, a place very special to us and where Chris felt he knew I was the one for him. We went up on our 6th anniversary and in walking on the beach, fireworks in the background again symbolising our first weekend away 6 years ago... Chris got down on one knee and proposed! Surprised me for sure!” So beautiful and romantic story!

Family | Kids | Maternity | Newborn photography in Auckland {Muriwai Beach}

Im so excited to announce a new direction in my journey - Family | Kids | Maternity | Newborn photography in Auckland, as well as my educational projects for photographers {Ebook “Tales of the Moments” and live and online workshops “Love, Light & Laughter”.

As a mum and photographer myself I treasure these moments with my kids, they growing so fast. I had a lot of inquiries from my past wedding clients about maternity/newborn shoots and can’t accomodate them all till now.

I decided to do a big leap in my photography, business and lifestyle and take on ONLY limited number of weddings {10! per year comparing with over 40 weddings last season!} and also switch focus to short couples, family sessions and elopements to spend more time with my family. My kids 6, 7 and 12 years old need my attention and support.

I’m very excited to move deeper into the new revenue and switch attention from big events to intimate sessions with ability to capture closer even more love and connection! I appreciate your support! Spread the word around!
