Its been amazing weekend Up North in Paihia - Russell {Northland, New Zealand} with shooting beautiful destination classical wedding in The Duke of Marlborough Hotel and Pampallier Mission Gardens where Hana & Aidan celebrated their special day with close friends and family who come all the way up from other places around NZ to have enjoyable and peaceful weekend with so much positive emotions! Everything been just in walking distance on the Strand, really handy.

We started with groom getting ready photos, reception entails, bride getting ready, follow through the ceremony, family formals in the gardens and bride and groom session around the gardens and on the Long beach at Oneroa Bay, such a beautiful, romantic and special atmosphere, full of love and tender moments!

Couple story start at the blind date 4 years ago with proposal made on surprised holiday in Queenstown, Aidan proposed at the edge of the Milford Sound!

Hamilton Gardens engagement photo shoot {New Zealand wedding - couple photographer} Megan and Chris

We had amazing time in Hamilton Gardens {New Zealand} with Megan & Chris, such a beautiful and romantic couple. Im really excited about their upcoming wedding in Gisborne next year, such a honour to be their wedding photographer, especially after knowing this couple and spent with them more time! This engagement photo shoot definitely helps us better know each other, understand how we are roll and feel more relaxed on the wedding day and get more natural photographs. I love to spend more time with my awesome wedding clients!

This couple have amazing story as they met each in High School and over 10 years together! What a long happy time! Their love became even stronger.

We met at Saturday evening in Hamilton Gardens {its been close to rainy weather but luckily we managed to finish our session just before pure rain starts. There was some spacial atmosphere. Love is all  around!

Markovina Vineyard Estate - Kumeu {Auckland wedding photographer} Ellise and Wasim

Beautiful couple Ellise & Wasim had such a special wedding day in Markovina Vineyard Estate {Kumeu, Auckland, NZ}.

I met couple beforehand on their engagement photo shoot on Muriwai Beach {West Auckland} just few weeks before their wedding {we really want to get special couples photos on the beach, which had different atmosphere from their wedding venue and also its a great opportunity to know each other and understand how we are roll :) This session just recently been published in world famous wedding Blog - How He Asked by The Knot. You can check out Ellise & Wasim's Sweet Love Story.

Couples story started from their meeting "early 2005 on our first day of University (orientation day), there were sheets of paper on desks and Wasim thought he had to sit at a desk that had a sheet of paper, which happened to be one next to me (Ellise). We carried on as good friends for 8 years until Wasim went away on holiday to the USA and came back and told me he really missed me and wanted us to always be together, so we should be a couple! I think we dated about 2 years before Wasim proposed, (he had jokingly proposed a few times over the years) and it started a week before when he started putting on dvds for me every night, some of our favourites, then ended the last 2 nights with blood diamond (relevance to diamond engagement rings), and the final movie was 'Walk the line' (Johnny Cash and June Carter story where he proposes many times before she said yes). The next day he took me to a couple of meaningful places for us and at the first one pulled out a burger ring and asked me to marry him (as a joke), the second place he pulled out a plastic ring and did the same. The third and final place was at Sails restaurant in Aucklands viaduct, where he proposed again with a bag of plastic rings! spread them all over the table and asked me to see if there was a real one in there - while I was looking through he came over with the real ring in the box and got down on one knee!" - such a great couples story from Ellise, sounds like romantic movie! 

Their wedding was amazing, full of love and positive moments, laugh and cry! Markovina Vineyard Estate such beautiful and cosy venue where you feel as you home, surrounding by real care from owners and stuff. When we been out at bride and groom session lovely lay come to wipe water from the swing when she saw us shooting around this area {there was really rainy just before}. Im just in love in this place full of beautiful spots all around (with little pond, trees, boat, red phone box - this is my favourite, I already told about swing etc. There plenty of photo opportunities! I looking forward to come back there for my other awesome wedding clients next year!

Rainy weather can't stop couple's beautiful celebration with bridesmaids and groomsmen, close family and friends. So special day and so much beauty around (I loved all details around, decoration, natural wood around, even wedding cake had special meaning and totally matches with couples personalities!

We had a chance to sneak outside during the reception and get some amazing night shots {I always try to add something extra to the gallery).

St Margarets Cafe - Karaka {Auckland lifestyle wedding photographer} Maya and Andy

This beautiful wedding in St Margarets Cafe {Karaka, Auckland} been my last wedding of this busy weddings season :) Need to say its been a great happy ending, Maya & Andy celebrated their special day with their friends and family with so warm and fun atmosphere! I enjoyed every single moment of this amazing wedding with such an open and kind people around. It was great to capture all lifestyle moments, candids, raw emotions - believe me there was a lot of crying and laughing!

Speeches at reception been full of fun details and stories (especially Dads from both sides done amazing job describing bride and groom's childhood, some funny and dangerous moments, I became worried about my 4 years old son as Andy's childhood stories remind me of his activities :) Every moment on this wedding was emotional and beautiful!

Couple met each other when they were 18. Maya said: "Andy saw a photo of me on my friends wall and tried his luck (it worked)". They LOVE to travel {lived in England for a year and travel around the Europe}, snowboarding, and ... food! :) {I definitely feel a strong connection with this amazing couple! :)} "Proposal was made at home on Christmas Day... Beautiful and simple".

Thats how feels all this wedding: beautifully simple! From getting ready moments in Maya and Andy's parents houses in Pukekohe {with 3 bridesmaid, 3 groomsmen and close family and friends} to ceremony near beautiful pond and reception in St Margarets Cafe in Karaka, Auckland {with 100 guests under the marquee}.

It was interesting to find out that Maya and her mum, sister and sister in law did a lot of DIY items:  "We DIY our own bouquets!!! They were amazing!! I was lucky enough to have insanely creative souls in my life like my mother, sister, and sister in law. We DIY our wedding favours which were fig and feijoa chutney made from all our own produce. We DIY the bridesmaids dresses.. well my mum did!! Shes amazing… she copied a miss Crabb design! They were incredible!"

Brigham - Herald Island {Auckland lifestyle wedding photographer} Ailsa and Ropate

I been capturing beautiful wedding during Easter weekend in The Brigham Cafe, Restaurant & Functions Centre with location couples photo shoot at Herald Island {Auckland}. 

Ailsa & Ropate just amazing couple, exchanged their vows surrounded by family and close friends in beautiful garden. We had a lot of fun and romantic moments around the venue and on location shoot at Herald Island {Auckland, New Zealand}.

Ailsa and Ropate met each other through mutual friend {one of the groomsmen on the wedding day} and Ropate made a romantic proposal in Wellington 2 days before Ailsa's 25th birthday. This proposal involved Ailsa's favourite desert, but as Ropate told during the speeches on the wedding day, he offered a desert after their romantic dinner and Ailsa said no as she been not hungry, ha-ha that was a scary moments. But all finished good way as you see :) Love to hear all the romantic stories and capture all that laugh and crying moments during the reception dinner! Ailsa promised to Ropate she will always wait him from his rugby trainings {need to mention Ropate is part of North Harbour rugby team, so you can see some of sport items in his getting ready moments :)}

Landsendt Tropical Garden - Waitakere Estate {Auckland wedding photographer} Maria and Ben

What a great wedding I been capturing in Landsendt Tropical Garden {Oratia, Auckland}! 

Maria & Ben just amazing couple, shared such a special moments with their friends and family in this cosy tropical garden venue.

Maria told me interesting story of their relationship: "Ben and I originally met when we were teenagers. We re-kindled our love 5 years after this. Ben proposed to me in Malta; the country where my family originally migrated from. He took me by surprise when he proposed to me at a beautiful place called the Blue Lagoon; the most beautiful place on earth". It's such a special memories!

Not surprising this couple chose so beautiful venue what reminded them of tropical islands where Ben originally from {Tonga} and created such a beautiful backdrop for their special event.

Day started for me at boy's getting ready at Waitakere Estate, there was a lot of fun and full of jokes atmosphere. Ben get special hair cut by barber who arrived on location to do this special event. What a great thought!

Maria with her 3 bridesmaids stayed at Kaurilands Estate, where I drove right after boys. It's not unusual for me to drive around between few locations on the wedding day, but of course can take a lot of power :) Thats why always good to book second shooter on the wedding day ;)

Maria is so gorgeous, just amazing bride! I really enjoyed take a pictures with lifestyle moments, having make-up on, bridesmaids dancing (they been doing rehearsal for reception dance later on), getting ready moments and pictures with family arrived (mum, dad and brother who come all way down from England).

Then time to head to ceremony site at Landsendt, meet all families and friends. Ben been wear traditional pacific clothes with grass mat. Couple been also exchanging their vows standing on the traditional mat. What a great incorporating Tonga's culture and traditions!

We had beautiful opportunities to get a lot of brida and groom intimate shots around the gardens, pictures turned just amazing! We had so much romantic and fun moments, natural and traditional shots.

Reception just was full of laugh and so special moments with speeches, cake cutting and of course first dance. It's just unforgettable memories!

Thank you so much guys for inviting me and sharing so special for you moments!

Some weddings just feels so special, couple looks stunning and wedding venue just gorgeous. Thats what I been capture at Ataahua Garden Venue in Tauranga {Bay of Plenty region} in January. It was amazing wedding from start to finish with so enjoyable moments in beautiful environment.

Small family garden wedding - Musick Point {Auckland lifestyle couples-engagement photographer}

What a great small family garden wedding I captured in the middle of January in Auckland. Tessa & John just amazing couple. They had getting ready moments in Tessa's parents house, ceremony and reception in their garden and location couples shoot at Musick point (Auckland).

They met each other at work and been together for 11 years, what a strong relationship! Tessa and John said they love spending time together walking on the beach, listening to music and the main thing "We have a similar sense of humour so love things we can laugh at together". Thats so important when you can laugh together :)

I love to shoot small family weddings for their cosy and warm atmosphere when couples spend their special time with close friends and family. It was great to capture these such treasured couple moments of their wedding day! Need to say John's son was the best man and Tessa had her best friend Parvati was a maid of honour and her daughter Maia was a flower girl. Such a pretty little one!

Time goes really fast, few hours gone just like this! We enjoy every moment of this wedding day!

Congratulations Tessa & John! Happy future together!

Parnell on the Rose Garden {Auckland lifestyle wedding photographer} Zydon & Olga

Parnell Rose Garden is a beautiful place in Auckland NZ to be married! I had the honour to capture an amazing wedding last weekend for Zydon & Olga, such a stunning couple!

Their photographs turned out just amazing which was not surprising when you look at all factors around: gorgeous bride Olga and handsome groom Zydon, stunning locations (rose gardens, old style reception and St Heliers Beach photo shoot after reception), great warm atmosphere (these families know how to have fun! I just loved every single minute of this wedding!). Olga fly over from Australia to New Zealand to Zydon to make this wedding happened :) Even distance not a barrier for a true love!
