We met with Jess & James for their engagement session on Muriwai Beach {Auckland}, one of the best location for a photo shoot - dream for everyone, especially surfers and wedding photographers. This place have amazing waves, and stunning rocks, but they could be tricky, when they come unexpected. So watch out for them, big chance to drive back home wet and covered in black sand.
We had so much fun, laughter and positive emotions with this beautiful couple, such amazing people! James shared some fun facts about their relationship: “We found out on our first date that Jess works in the same office as my brother in law just from the stories we were telling. Turned out she had already my sister too at the Christmas party a few weeks earlier. After our first date and a few more in early 2020 we managed to survive the first March lockdown and moved in together for the subsequent Auckland lockdowns and never looked back”

It was a pleasure to meet this big family for a photo shoot of their reunion after Sara and Chris with their little one come back from Alabama {USA} to visit their family in New Zealand, after so many years and lockdowns {to see grandparents and aunty}.
We met at Muriwai beach - stunning location in West Auckland, joy for photographer and place with many photo opportunities. We had so much fun, and laughter, and some amazing moments, not even capturing all family together, but sneaking an opportunity for mum & dad photos away from the kid {they definitely needed this time alone}.

This is the perfect time to look back and reflect, how far we come, where we want to head, set some goals and look ahead!
I decided to share with you a simple grid of top 9 photos on my IG accounts @olgalevien and @levienphotography - you never know which images going to be the most favourite at the time you posting them and only time can tell. Even though likes are not matters, its a fun way to see “most popular” moments of the year.
Looking back, this year brought more freedom {after all the restrictions and lockdowns}, giving me an opportunity to travel overseas to Germany and also letting couples and families come from overseas to New Zealand. Exciting times connecting to new people and capturing some beautiful, emotional and real moments!
Looking forward, I decided for the right balance in my life with little ones to take only limited number of sessions, and only small weddings, concentrating on creating timeless memories in a best way possible without burning out and bring more creative juices and mojo flowing in my work and life, as well as some personal projects. Exciting times ahead!

We had an amazing time on the beach, enjoying our short session, no matter cloudy weather! Couple made their way from Hamilton and it was a pleasure to walk and talk, documenting some special moments and making memories for years to come!
It was amazing to meet this couple again after they been in the bridal party of one of my past wedding couples which wedding I shot not long ago in Markovina, such a great times in a gorgeous venue!

What can be better then remember memories from 2021-2022 wedding-family season when new one is approaching shortly with so many beautiful weddings and family photo shoots. Always a pleasure to capture all these beautiful, emotional and real moments, mostly in West Auckland, for us as photographers.
It was an amazing season full love, light and laughter! <3 We had incredible time with many gorgeous couples as photo shoots and weddings, I also been running online workshops at Click Photo School, got some photography awards, and travel overseas to Germany, feeling freedom after long time in lockdowns in pandemic.

It was a beautiful pre-wedding session with Jess & Rob in Muriwai Beach {Auckland}. Couple made their way from Hamilton to West Auckland beach for their engagement photography. Im truly appreciate al the time they spent to get to the gorgeous landscapes of Muriwai Beach with rocks and ocean and beautiful sunset.
Luckily weather was fine, so we can walk and talk and enjoy the atmosphere, going with the flow, to capture beautiful, emotional and real moments for this stunning couple.
Couple shared their story: “We first met on yacht week in Croatia in 2016. Jess completed her masters project at the University of Auckland September 2017 and have been together since (with some long distance in between whilst Jess was finishing studies). Jess (originally from UK) then moved over to New Zealand in December 2019.” The proposal: “Rob proposed in Rarotonga in June 2021 on a island opposite Muri beach, just after we had been snorkelling with turtles.”
Jess is from UK and Rob is a real kiwi, they are planning to fly to UK for their wedding celebration, or wait till family can come from overseas safely to enjoy their special day.

Im so excited to share with you amazing engagement session with horses at Muriwai Beach in Auckland. Deep and Prachi envisioned a beautiful pre-wedding photo shoot and organise flowers and horses hire at Muriwai Beach Horse Track, just before they planned to go away to India to have their wedding celebration. Its always a pleasure for us, wedding photographers, to capture so special moments before their marriage.
We met at the horse track, get a beautiful brown horse and walk around the forest, explore around and then spent the rest of the time at the beach, just before the sunset, enjoying stunning landscapes and surroundings.
Everything on this session went perfect {even though horses sometimes behave like a kids, and go where they want to go, need to mention horse been very interested in beautiful flower - I would think more for a snack :) but we managed to keep everything safe!}.

Im so excited to share with you Muriwai Beach post-wedding session with Evgenia and Anton, such a stunning Auckland location with beautiful couple. It was pure rain on their wedding day, so we decided to spend some time afterwards, pick a day with a nice weather and opportunity for sunset photos. Today I want to share with you highlights of recent couples-engagement session on Muriwai Beach {Auckland} with Elena & Daniel. Hard to believe I will be photographer on their wedding tomorrow! {their wedding been rescheduled because of lockdown and we moved session a few times because of weather, but decided just to go for it anyway even without a chance for a beautiful sunset}.
Rocks at the beach and cave provided a gorgeous backdrop and couples real emotions and feelings are priceless!
It was a great opportunity to better know each other, understand how we roll and feel on the same page before the wedding!

We met with Frances and Chris just few months before their wedding for a photos shoot on Muriwai Beach {Auckland}. I cant wait to be their wedding photographer very soon {we already reschedule two times because of lockdowns, so hopefully third time lucky!}.
The weather was great with beautiful soft golden light just before the sunset. We started at open part of Muriwai Beach capturing some beautiful moments with their best friend - dog Coda! SO gorgeous moments! and continue to my favourite part - More Bay with stunning rocks and a cave! It was great to chit-chat and discuss some wedding details as well at this pre-wedding photo shoot!

While New Zealand moved to lockdown and all sessions/weddings getting postponed it great to look back at recent engagement session with Minyu & Carl and their best friends - adorable dogs at Muriwai Beach {Auckland}. Im so exited for their upcoming wedding!
