Kourawhero Estate {North Auckland wedding photographers}

The location where we met Sara & Matt on their special day was just magical - open space, stunning views on hills and farm land, perfect spot for a ceremony. Couple get married at Kourawhero Estate {North Auckland, not far from Warkworth}, it was a honour for me and Matt to be their wedding photographers and document all beautiful, emotional and happy candid natural moments!

Couple shared their story: “Ours is a story of best friends accidentally falling in love. We met in 2012 on set of NZ's Got Talent and quickly became good friends. In 2016 Matt left his wife and moved to Auckland to be with Sara. One year later we got engaged. He proposed in the middle of a speedway race at Western Springs after a surprise weekend of beach picnics, seaplanes, vineyards and car racing”. This is so romantic!

Mahinepua Beachfront House - Tim and Leanne {Northland - Auckland wedding photographer}

It's such a pleasure to travel from Auckland Up North, come back exactly one year later {after shooting two weddings in Russell and Kerikeri} and as photographers to be a part of a special celebration - Leanne & Tim wedding in Mahinepua Beachfront House {Northland, New Zealand}. It was rainy but such a happy day with warm and cosy atmosphere, love and positive emotions, all on outskirts of Northland. It was a pleasure to work with Susi Liddington again, she as a wedding planner and stylist created such gorgeous tropical atmosphere in the marquee and around the space. Everyone has been amazed by this creative and talented approach!

The couple shared their love story:" We met at the university during a class we were both taking while Tim was studying towards his Master of Nursing and Leanne was doing her Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences. We travelled together to Nepal on a global health university project. After four weeks working together in a rural Nepal community, we then went on a flight around Mt Everest together. Tim took Leanne to the cockpit of the plane and just as we were in front of Mt Everest he proposed." Hard to imagine anything more epic for a proposal! Just funny that instead of giving full attention to Tim Leanne been fascinated looking at the Mount just the moment before.

Its so exciting to hear some unique facts about couple relationship: "We are both nurses who had had a long-standing desire (before we met each other) to work and live in rural communities and locations and have since been fortunate enough work together in places like rural Nepal, remote Kenya and remote outback Australia. Next, we are making a move to rural Northland NZ."

Its all come together with their families and friends celebrated together their special day in Mahinepua Beachfront House far north.

Sawmill cafe {Leigh, Northland} New Zealand destination wedding photographers {Madeline and Barry}

Such a great time and amazing people I met on the special celebration on Madeline & Barry wedding in Sawmill Cafe {Leigh, Northland, New Zealand}. It was a great atmosphere starting at bride and groom getting ready in the venue following by first look on the nearby farm and ceremony inside the cafe with formals and reception full of positive and emotional moments, lots of laugh and cry. We also had a chance to sneak out of reception to catch last sun rays at sunset near seaside. Beautiful memories so treasured and special for us, wedding photographers as we leave and breath in this romantic and real atmosphere with creating special for couple and their families photographs which speaks from the heart! As husband and wife wedding photographers team we can totally relate to these moments and we love to be a part of this storytelling.

Couple shared their story. They met at a bar {thats why choice of wedding venue was so special and easy decision}, Madeline shared some details how was mad a proposal: "in our bedroom, on one knee Christmas eve 2015. He was supposed to do it while we were away on our Christmas holiday but Barry had a burning hole in his pocket and could wait." such a great story!

Happy wedding anniversary {Northland wedding photographers} Claire and Josh

Im so excited to say Congratulations and happy wedding anniversary to Claire and Josh, their boho farm DIY wedding in Maungaturoto {Northland, New Zealand} been just amazing, I remember every single moment with warm feelings.

Not surprising their photos been published in Boho Weddings, wedding had such a great rustic atmosphere with lots of DIY items, which looks just beautiful!

So much work and love put into it. We enjoy every moment from getting ready in Maunghawai Heads to ceremony in family farm paddock and reception in marquee afterwards with great music from amazing irish band "Pat for President", everybody been up dancing!

Liddington Gardens - Kerkeri Northland {NZ destination wedding photographer} Elisah and Heremaia

Such amazing destination wedding in Liddington Gardens {Kerikeri, Northland, NZ} where Elisah & Heremaia celebrated their special day with close friends and family. It was a great pleasure for me as their official photographer captured so special for couple wedding moments. {need to say just day before I shoot wedding in Russel, Bay of Island, it was amazing to shoot weddings in such a beautiful places in Northland}.

There was a lot of laugh, crying moments, some fun, dance and LOVE! 

Elisah shared their love story: "We meet years ago in high school. We were so close in school but unfortunetly went our seperate ways. About 3 years ago we happen to both be back in Kerikeri and decided to meet up and the rest is history...haha!"

Proposal been just amazing: "On my birthday, at the garden where we are getting married, by the man made pond with candles, it was so sweet." Heremaia's 4 years old son was there too and Elisah loves "him to pieces" from her words :)

Couple really looked forward to spend their time with friends and families on the wedding day and it was just amazing, so much positive emotions from bride and groom getting ready, through the ceremony in the gardens, to bridal party and bride and groom session around Liddington Gardens and finally great reception under marquee with a lot of emotional moments, speeches, dancing and bouquet tossing with first dance and guests dancing till night time!

The Duke of Marlborough Hotel - Russell wedding {Northland-New Zealand weddings photographer} Hana and Aidan

Its been amazing weekend Up North in Paihia - Russell {Northland, New Zealand} with shooting beautiful destination classical wedding in The Duke of Marlborough Hotel and Pampallier Mission Gardens where Hana & Aidan celebrated their special day with close friends and family who come all the way up from other places around NZ to have enjoyable and peaceful weekend with so much positive emotions! Everything been just in walking distance on the Strand, really handy.

We started with groom getting ready photos, reception entails, bride getting ready, follow through the ceremony, family formals in the gardens and bride and groom session around the gardens and on the Long beach at Oneroa Bay, such a beautiful, romantic and special atmosphere, full of love and tender moments!

Couple story start at the blind date 4 years ago with proposal made on surprised holiday in Queenstown, Aidan proposed at the edge of the Milford Sound!

DIY destination wedding NZ | Maungaturoro {Northland-Auckland-Waikato lifestyle couple-engagement photographer} Claire and Josh

I spent a great weekend away at March destination DIY wedding at Maungaturoro {Northland} with amazing couple Clair & Josh. Couple contacted me around a year ago from Australia to book their wedding at family farm in Maungaturoro {Northland}. I been happy to travel from Hamilton through the Auckland to Northland for capture special moments for this couple.

Need to say guys met each other 7 years ago and Josh made his proposal at their 5 years anniversary of dating, at weekend away in Sydney while they been out for dinner. What a romantic moments!

Getting ready moments starts for us at Mangawhai Heads {Northland} in beautiful house. 

We took ride on old retro car Valiant with stunning Clair and her 2 loving fun bridesmaids - Sophie and Robyn. It was great to heard some story about this car from her only one owner for years. Josh at this moment been waiting his bride at the farm with his 2 groomsmen - brother Ethan and best friend Brad.

This wedding was really special as a lot of items been hand-made with love by couple's family and friends. It's amazing how rustic and beautiful can be DIY weddings!

There was rows of hay instead chairs, hand-made arch where couple exchanged their vows, retro suitcases, wooden items and much more.

What a fun and full of love atmosphere! Claire & Josh just amazing couple! Happy future together!
